At WellStar, we believe in helping people get well, stay well, and live well. And, we're putting those beliefs into action through improved and expanded healthcare services, community education, and the most advanced facilities and medical technology.
WellStar is the area's leading and largest not-for-profit healthcare provider. Because we're not-for-profit, maintaining such a high level of service is a constant challenge. With the support of community leaders and donations, the Foundation has raised over $30M that has helped fund programs like the Open Heart Campaign, Cyberknife, Safe Kids as well as many other programs and improvements to WellStar.
Patient revenues cover just a fraction of our community's healthcare needs. However, donations of all sizes make it possible for the Foundation to provide funding assistance to many WellStar programs and projects including:
- WellStar's new Cancer Center and STAT clinics
- Cardiac services
- Prevention, wellness & education (including Safe Kids Cobb County, WellStar's School Health Program and the WellStar Institute for Better Health)
- End-of-life care (including The Tranquility Angel Fund and other hospice programs and projects)
- WellStar facility enhancements
